ISLAMABAD: CDWP has approved four projects worth Rs 25 billion.
Details According to reports, a meeting was held in Islamabad on Monday under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Muhammad Jahanzeb, which was attended by senior officials of Planning Commission, federal ministries and divisions, while representatives of provincial governments participated through video conference. ۔
The meeting presented plans related to health, transport and communication, and approved a Rs 7.99 billion plan for the Khyber Institute of Children’s Health and Children’s Hospital.
In KP, a DHQ hospital project of Rs 3.34 billion was approved for tackling epidemic diseases, while in Bahawalnagar, a project of Rs 5.62 billion to a 200-bed maternity hospital and nursing college was approved.
It was informed in the meeting that the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) has sent two projects worth Rs 43.3 billion to ECNEC for final approval.
A plan of Rs 11.81 billion has been sent for the procurement of 600 flat container bogie wagons, a Rs 32 billion plan for construction of 168 km Hoshab, Awaran M8 project has also been sent to ECNEC.
The Rs 7.98 billion Sohawa-Chakwal Road two-lane project was also approved, while the CDWP also approved three concept clearance projects.
