Apple released a number of minor updates to its operating system, including bug fixes and performance improvements for iOS 14.4.1, iPad OS 14.4.1, Watch OS 7.3.2, and macOS 11.2.3.
Wireless updates can be downloaded directly to your device. On iOS and iPad OS, these settings can be made by opening the app and then selecting General> Software Updates, or waiting for the update to install automatically if this setting is enabled.
On Watch OS, updates can be installed from the Watch app. It can run automatically, but you can perform a manual scan by selecting My watch> General> Software update.
On Mac OS, you can install updates by opening System Preferences and selecting Software Update.
As indicated by the version number, updates are minor and do not change functionality. Instead, they each provide a “significant security update“. It is recommended that Apple install it for all users.
Apple will provide security details for each update via Apple’s dedicated Security Updates page, which will be updated later on Monday.
Apple last updated its iOS and iPad OS to version 14.4 on January 26th, adding features like “Find My Items” and HomePad Money Hands off.
