PESHAWAR: Chairman Ruwit Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad has said that now the testimonies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also be taken in connection with Ruwit Hilal.
Details On Tuesday, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, chairman of the Ruwit-e-Hilal Committee, visited Peshawar, where he also met Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai at the Qasim Ali Khan Mosque, famous for its moon sighting controversy.
A function was held on the occasion of Maulana Abdul Khabir’s visit to Peshawar. Addressing the function, the Chairman Ruwit Hilal Committee said that he himself went to Qasim Ali Khan Mosque and met the Mufti regarding religious harmony.
Maulana Abdul Khabir said, “I am very grateful for the hospitality of Peshawar. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a great part of this country. The speakers here said that the testimonies of this province are not taken. I assure you that this will not happen now. Will do one

Chairman Ruwit Hilal Katie said that they will take evidence from Sindh, Punjab, KP, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir regarding the moon. If evidence comes from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, we will definitely accept it. We have to play a role in creating, we will promote peace and brotherhood in the country.
Meanwhile, parliamentary leader Jamaat-e-Islami Inayatullah also addressed the function, saying that Eid is our religious festival but unfortunately our Eid is not a one-day event. He hopes the new chairman of the Ruwit-e-Hilal Committee will resolve the issue.
